I just wanted to share some insight that God has given me.  The words in parenthesis ( )came from the Amplified Bible, and the
words in brackets [ ] is how God explained it to me.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed (Happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly [who doesn't
take advice from horoscopes, astrology, psychics, fortune tellers, or unsaved people], nor standeth in the way of sinners [takes the
same route or has the same ways], nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful [comfortable being around someone who mistreats
people].

2 But his delight (and desire) is in the law of the Lord [studying and living by God's Word]; and in his law doth he meditate day and
night [carrying and pondering the word within his heart throughout the day];

3 And he shall be [rooted, immovable, strong, never lacking, prosperous, living, glorious, healthy, having long life, bearing much
fruit, replenishing life, feeding the hungry, and being a testimony of God's awesome faithfulness] like a tree planted by the rivers of
water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  Jer 17: 7,
8

4 The ungodly are not so (those disobedient and living without God): but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. [The
wicked are the opposite: cut down, shortened life, forgotten, useless litter that is blown away, (dead and without substance)]

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. [A believer should always be reminded
of God's Law.  You can't fool God because He knows the ways of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly SHALL perish.]
