Today's Topic is What Are Your Exits?
Scriptures marked with an asterisk (*) is referenced at the bottom of the page.

On the highway to Heaven what stops do you make?  What exits entice you?  Lust, bitterness, greed, envy, self-pity?  There are
many others and they all have neon lights and the best hotels and scenery.  The enemy wants to distract you so you will never finish
    your journey.

But God has especially prepared rest stops for you and me (*Ex 33:14 & *Matt 11:28).  At these stops, we can receive
encouragement, knowledge, direction, and peace.  The scenery is plain, but the atmosphere is refreshing and replenishes our
    souls (*Ps 23:2-3).

Thankfully, God will feed us, and nurture us before He sends us back out on the road (*1 Kings 19:5-8).  He will also exchange our
load for a much lighter one, and He promises that He will not give us more than we can bare (*Matt 11:29-30 & *1 Cor 10:13).

All the other exits that Satan offers us will always lead us down the same path-guilt and shame.  Why travel in a circle?  Don't get
distracted by the neon lights!  Use the map (Bible) that God has provided and keep focused.  Utilize every rest stop that God
prepares along the way, and strive to complete the journey (*Heb 12:1).

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,

    Scripture References NKJV

Ex 33:14  And He said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

Matt 11:28-30  28  "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29  Take My yoke upon you
and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  30  For My yoke is easy and My
    burden is light."

Ps 23:2-3  2  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.  3  He restores my soul; He
leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

1 Kings 19:5-8  5  Then as he [Elijah] lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly and angel touched him, and said to him, "Arise
and eat."  6  Then he looked and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water.  So he ate and drank, and lay
down again.  7  And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touch him, and said, "Arise and eat, because the
journey is too great for you."  8  So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty
nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

1 Cor. 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to
be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Heb 12:1  Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the
sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
