Today's Topic is Reason for Living I'm in Love. Not with just anyone. I am talking about a very special person. Someone who is strong, intelligent, meek, and humble, but also powerful and rich. He is loving, understanding, truthful, sensible, bold, protective, and jealous. He prays and comforts me. He knows me better than I know myself. I am talking about Jesus! I love this man named, Jesus. Whenever I think of Him, I start to glow. When I feel His spirit around me, I am a better person. He was whipped, beaten and spat on, because He saw that I was in trouble. He left His kingdom behind because He saw no other way to bring me back to Him. I gladly ended my relationship with Satan to be with Jesus. Satan doesn't even love me. I knew that all along but Jesus seemed to far away and too good for me. But when He died in my place, I knew then that it was true love (*Jn 15: 13). What can separate me from His love (*Rom 8:35)? Satan still tries to woo me (*Lk 4:13), but my heart is taken. It belongs to Jesus. He loves me beyond measure. He told me that I was His reason for living (*Jn 10:10). That is why He gave his life to save mine (*Heb 9:26). You see, Satan was after me, and the only way Jesus could protect and save me was to trade His own life for mine. Jesus is still the love of my life. He rose again (*Mk 16:6)! I adore Him, and I will spend the rest of my days waiting to be reunited with Him. And when we are, we will spend all eternity together in a place that He has prepared for us (*Jn 14:2)! I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Shatika Gray Scripture References NKJV Jn 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Lk 4:13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until and opportune time. Jn 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Heb 9:24-26, 28 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another- 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 28 So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagearly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Mk 16:6 But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is Risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. Jn 14:2-4 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know. |
