    Psalm 11 NKJV

1  In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain"?  [I
will trust you, O Lord, with my life.  Even when my peers try to convince me to run from my problems
(marriage, school, family, job, finances, etc.).  Even when the circumstances around me are not
    pleasurable.]

2  For look!  The wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string, that they
may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.  [The enemy is preparing to attack me.  They are
sharpening their weapons, even now.  Satan's goal is for me to run in fear.  He wants to ambush me
behind close doors, when no one else is around to help me.]

3  If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?  [They want to destroy all that I
base my faith on.  The enemy thinks that if he can make me doubt You, then he can conquer me.  When
my faith is demolished, so is my hope.]

4  The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids
test the sons of men. [But no matter what, I know that You are still on the throne.  Your eyes see
everything, and You do not blink without a purpose.  During my test, I will trust You.]

5  The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
[Because, I strive for righteousness, my testing is inevitable.  In order to achieve a college degree, I have
to be tested.  Achieving righteousness, is no different.  This is how You help me to improve and master
    resisting the devil.]

6  Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the
portion of their cup.  [The wicked will receive his just punishment, because You are their judge, and You
    hate all that is evil.]

7  For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.
[You love me, because Your righteousness is within me.  Your are always aware of my circumstances.
    Your face unveils me.]

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!
