Today, I want to take another look at the 23rd Psalms.

    Psalms 23: 1-6

1  I shall not He gives me everything I need-peace, shelter, food, clothing, security, love, affection,
attention, He gives me everything I need-peace, shelter, food, clothing, security, love, affection, attention,
companionship, and courage because He is my shepherd.
attention, companionship, and courage because He is my shepherd.

2   He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;  He leadeth me beside the still waters: He
provides times of rest and peace where I can lay quietly before him.  He wants me to feel secure,
    because He is my shepherd.

3   He restoreth my soul;  He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake:  He
refreshes, replenishes, and reassures me with His love and  faithfulness;  He directs me to the paths that
will bring honor to His Name, and will steer me away from trouble and shame, because He is my
    shepherd.

4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art
with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me:  He provides me with a better perspective-now I
can see that it is only a shadow of death and not death itself.  I am also protected enough to keep
walking (He won't let me linger there)-not fearing evil, because I know that the Lord is with me.  I can feel
His rod poking me, and His staff encouraging me to keep moving through the valley.  This is a comfort to
me, because He is my shepherd.

5   Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;  Thou anointest my head
with oil; my cup runneth over:  Just as a sheep's enemy is aware of the shepherd's presence, He will
make my enemy's aware that He is with me by preparing a table before me in their presence.  He will
make my anointing unquestionably known, even beyond what I could ever hope or dream, because He is
    my shepherd.

6   Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord forever: Because He is my shepherd, I can be confident that His goodness and
mercy will always be with me.

This is why, I can promise to dwell in the House of my master, forever, because He promises He will
always be my shepherd.  Is He your shepherd?  John 10:4amp says When He has brought His own
sheep outside, He walks on before them, and the sheep follow Him because they know His
voice.  Do you know His voice?  Jesus Christ is inviting you today to be apart of His family. Because if
you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust
in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart a
person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous,
acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith)
and confirms [his/her] salvation.  Romans 10:9-10 amp

I hope you enjoyed reading the Word of God in a new light!  Have a happy Wednesday!
