No Time for Tears
Dec. 21, 2005

Today's Topic is No Time for Tears

Ecclesiastes 3:4, 8 NLV  4 There is a time to cry, and a time to laugh; a time to have sorrow, and
a time to dance. 8 There is a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

If a child is crying, they are likely to hear the response "Don't cry, be a big girl/boy."  Why do we respond
this way?  Mostly, because we want our child to grow up strong and tough, rather than turn out to be a
    "cry-baby".

Well, sometimes God uses that same method on us only He says, "Don't cry.  Fight!"  We have to
understand that there is a time for tears but occasionally we have to put those tears away and realize that
    it is time to war.

When our lives are being threatened, we have to act.  Don't lay down in a puddle of tears and do
nothing!  Get up!  Take your sword out (the Bible) and fight like crazy to take back all that the devil has
    stolen for you!

When we were children, some of us would get in trouble for not standing up for ourselves against a bully.
Why should our spiritual lives be any different?  When the children are out of control, don't cry.  Fight!
When the bills are so deep, we don't know how to get out, don't cry.  Fight!  When we are being
constantly persecuted on our jobs for Christ's sake, don't cry.  Fight!  When we are on the verge of losing
everything that we care about, don't cry.  Fight!  There will be plenty of time to cry after the battle's over.

Our war is fought by being on our knees in prayer.  Quote God's Word back to Him and remind Him of
the promises that He has made.   We must dry our eyes because there is no time for tears, it's time for
war.  When the shield of faith is getting weak and we are running out of arrows remember that God won't
let us fight this or any other battle alone.  Our lives are important to God.  Our God will fight for us. He has
not lost a battle yet, nor will He ever.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,

    Scripture References NLV

Luke 18:7-8  7 Will not God make the things that are right come to His chosen people who cry
day and night to Him? Will He wait a long time to help them?  8 I tell you, He will be quick to help
them. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?"

2 Tim. 2:3-5  3 Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No soldier
fighting in a war can take time to make a living. He must please the one who made him a soldier.
