seen. It is good to have hope. Hope helps us to see beyond where we are but it is faith that helps us to survive. Hope is just a reminder of what we will one day have but faith is the knowledge that we already have it. The Bible says that faith is hope with substance. That means that faith is hope with some meat on it. Faith is hope weighed down so that it can't get blown away. We can say, "I hope to get a new car," but it is another thing to say, "In the name of Jesus, I have faith that I am going to get a new car." We can also say, "Man, I sure hope my finances turn around," but what a major difference there is when we say that with faith, "I know by faith my finances are about to turn around, in Jesus Name." So basically, hope can be easily diminished but faith can hold its own. We can be hopeless but we can never be faithless because faith has too much behind it to be thrown away. Faith has a base that keeps it from being knocked over when the wind blows and that base is the word of God. The more we study the word of God the stronger our faith becomes. And then eventually, our faith will cover us like a blanket, protecting us from the things of this world that try to make us doubt. So when we get under the blanket of faith, we can rest easily because it is faith that shields us. It is faith that keeps us from giving up, and it is faith that allows us to please our God. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
