Today's Topic is The Catalog John 14:13-14 NKJV 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Imagine receiving a catalog with all of the latest stuff in it and everything on every page is free! Whether its clothing, electronics, furniture, or hardware doesn't matter. All we have to do is call and the items will be shipped to our houses free of charge. What a great deal that would be! Well, that is the same deal that God offers us. If we want peace, just ask for peace, and peace will come. If we want joy, just ask for joy, and joy will come. The list goes on and on, just like a catalog. And it's that easy because it has already been paid for by Jesus' blood sacrifice on Calvary. So all these things are waiting on warehouse shelves for us to order them. However, there will be times when it will take longer than expected to receive the items we have ordered, but when that happens, don't get discouraged. Just consider them on backorder. For we can be certain that God has not forgotten or lost our orders. We may have to wait because the item is out of season (depending on the season of life that we are going through) or because it is out of stock which could be because it was ordered out of greed or lust. Therefore, we will not receive it until our motives have changed. Whatever the case, God has His reasons for holding on to our orders, and He will send them to us on time, guaranteed. We can trust His delivery service more than any other. Now, we must also be aware that there is another catalog that looks like the items are free, but they are not. This catalog belongs to none other than the devil, and he will always throw in extra deals to make his catalog look better than God's. But we must beware, because we will never get what we think we are getting. Peace will be chaos, and joy will be bitterness, and the items are always costly in the end. So double check the catalog before ordering. Jesus is standing by right now to take our orders, so let's head for that prayer phone! I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.
