Num. 9:17-18 NKJV 17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. 18 At the command of the LORD the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. This scripture has so many golden nuggets hidden within it but one of the main points is that during this time the Israelites learned to move when the cloud moved and to stand still whenever the cloud stood still. Why is that important? It is important because we also have to learn to recognize when God is moving and when He wants us to stand still. If we are not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, then we will not notice when He is moving in a different direction. God wasn't making them follow the cloud to be controlling. He was teaching them obedience. He was teaching them to trust Him every step of the way and He was teaching them faith. Imagine what it would be like if everyone lived their lives by yielding to the Holy Spirit and always walking in the will of God. Life would be so joyous and peaceful. But we can't do anything about what everybody else does, however we can at least start with ourselves. Move with the Cloud. Follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. When He moves, move; but most of all, when He is still, we must also learn to be still. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis.
