Hope is the Lord
Jan. 25, 2006

Today's Topic is Hope is the Lord

Jer. 17:7-8 NKJV  7  “ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the
LORD.  8  For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the
river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the
year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

A lot of times, when situations arise, we tend to look to the left and look to the right for a way to fix our
problem.  But sometimes, God will allow a situation to worsen in order for us to realize He is our only
    hope.

In Jeremiah 17, verse 7, the Lord reminds us that the man who comes to the realization that the Lord is
his hope will be blessed abundantly.  The quicker we understand this concept, the sooner we will start to
    prosper.

We have a tendency to hope in many things, but when our hope is the Lord, we have resolved within
ourselves that there is no one else who can fix the problem.  Just like He is THE WAY, He is THE HOPE
of our lives.  He should be the first and the last One that we turn to when we need help (meaning He is the
only One we should turn to).

So don't hope in money, cars, jobs, or even people.  When our hope is the Lord, God promises that we
will be as prosperous and abundantly blessed as a tree planted by the water.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
