Deut. 31:8 NKJV And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Ever lose something and then discover that it was right in front of your face the whole time? It happens to all of us. Maybe it was a special pen that loves to disguises itself as a book or piece of paper, or maybe just a pair of glasses that become invisible the instant we put them on top of our head. Either way, wouldn't it be much easier to find these items if there were Look Here signs with arrows that point right to them? That is how it is with God. God is right in front of our face all of the time. He is exactly where we left Him, but for some reason, we feel as if we have lost Him. We are running from this church to that church trying to find Him but to now avail. We feel like we are all alone and God is off somewhere fishing. But the truth is that God has not moved from the last place we left Him. Matter of fact, He is standing right in front of us wondering why we look so panicked. So finally, He reveals Himself to us, but before we can say anything, He just says, ”Look here.” He points to a passage of scripture as we give Him our full attention. Peace begins to flood over our soul as we read the text that He has directed us to. The scripture reads: And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. And with that He puts His hand in ours, and we walk away in silence, because now we know that whenever we need God, all we have to do is look here. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Pastor Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
