Today's Topic is The Revelation 1 Thess. 4:16-18 NKJV 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. Jesus is coming. That's it. That's the revelation. Jesus...is...coming. Once we get that, no, really get that into our hearts and minds then everything else should fall into perspective. Everything that we are doing should lead up to that one defining moment when Jesus comes. There are so many things in life that we feel are important but at that moment they will become completely irrelevant. So how does that help us now? Well, think back to times as a child. Whenever several children were left alone in a room (even for a short while), they would get into all kinds of mischief. But when someone yelled, "Mom is coming!", or "The teacher is coming!", everyone would scramble back to where they were supposed to be. Why did Mom have that kind of affect? Why would the sound of a teacher coming down the hall cause children to scurry back to their seats? The answer is conviction. Children know when they are doing wrong, and so do we. That is why I'm telling you that Jesus is coming! It's time for us to get back to where we are suppose to be. Every day, we pass signs that announce the coming of a new apartment building or restaurant, and we have total faith that those things are going to be built. But we are also given signs of Jesus' upcoming return, and sadly we have been ignoring them. We have to wake up! Jesus is coming. Whether we are ready or not, Jesus is coming. Now that's the revelation. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. |
