Luke 12:48 NKJV But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. Ever seen something and wish that you hadn't? Ever try to remove the image from your mind? Then I'm sure that you learned that once our eyes are exposed to something, that image is then burned into our brains and there is no way we can reverse it. Well, our spirits are the same way. When our spirits experience something, we can't take it back. That is why we are held accountable for what we know and what we do. When we do something wrong, our conscious continues to nag at us because we knew that it was wrong before we did it. And again, there is no way to reverse knowing what we already know. That is also the reason why once we have experienced God, we can no longer deny His existence because the truth will continue to eat away at us. So where does that leave us? To whom much is given, much is required. We have a responsibility to act on what we know. We can't unsee what's been seen and we can't unknow what we know. So that means, once we are given new information God then holds us accountable for it. Whether you choose to be like the good or the evil servant in Luke 12 is entirely up to you. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Pastor Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
