2 Tim. 2:15 KJV Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. In school, some classes require us to have two kinds of books. One book is given to us for informational purposes only and is often called a text book. The other book is a workbook. Both are intended to help us understand the concepts that we are being taught but they teach us those concepts in different ways. This is similar to the way that God teaches us. He gives us the Bible which is filled with principles and examples for us to follow but life is our workbook. Our life is where we get to work out the problems for ourselves using the concepts that we have been taught in class. Our life is where we have to show our work so that others can see how we got our answers. Life is where we put the equations to the test to see how they really work, and experience is what pounds these formulas into our heads for future use. From experience, we should know that it is extremely difficult to figure out the answers to the workbook without first studying the text book, and it is nearly impossible to pass the test, because the text book and the workbook go hand in hand. So we don't have to guess at the answers to life's toughest questions, we can just look to Bible instead. That is where we will find the real answers. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Pastor Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
