Is. 61:3 NKJV To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
will be truly disappointed because the garment of praise is one item that can never be bought-it can only be given. The garment of praise is a gift from the Lord that He has given to all of us. If we run to our closets right now, we should all be able to find it (probably pushed all the way to the back). Most of us forgot that it was even there because we were too busy dressing up the spirit of heaviness, trying to make it coordinate with all of our outfits. But the spirit of heaviness is not meant to coordinate. Matter of fact, it is only meant to overshadow everything else we wear. So the best thing to do is toss it out all together and dust off the garment of praise. The garment of praise matches everything else in our God-given wardrobe, and when we start to wear it regularly we will notice a difference in our attitude and the attitude of those around us. People will begin to notice us more and will be drawn to us because they want to know what it is about us that makes us different. Then we can point them in the direction of their own closets so they can dust theirs off as well. Just imagine what the world would be like if we all decided to wear our garment of praise on a daily basis. Well, it all starts with us and the example that we set. And from that, God is sure to get the glory, honor and praise that He so deserves. So go, go, go to the closet now and pull out one of the accessories that we should not leave home without! No, not shoes. It's the garment of praise! I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Minister Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
