Today's Topic is Permanent Marker

Is. 1:18 KJV  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Ever feel as if a mistake you've made is etched with a permanent marker?  Does it feel almost as if you
can't get it out of your mind or that you are carrying it with you everywhere you go?  Have you even tried
erasing your mistake or making up for it, but are now noticing that the harder you try the worse it gets?

Well then here's what you've been looking for!  God has an eraser for every mistake that you have ever
made.  Yes, that's right.  Every mistake.  Go ahead.  Think of some mistakes that you've made or are
currently making.  Can God erase those too?  Absolutely!

How can this be?  Look at it this way.  Take a writing tool and start writing.  Now, erase it.  That was
easy, right?  Well, it's a lot like that.

Every writing tool that man has ever created has an eraser.  Think about it.  We have erasers for pencils,
pens, dry erasers, chalk erasers, correction fluid and even the delete key on a computer keyboard.  But
in order to erase these things, we have to take action because they will not erase themselves.  We have
to decide that we want our mistake removed and most of the time when we choose the right eraser our
    mistake goes away.

But there is one exception.  That's right, the permanent marker.  There has not been an eraser
specifically designed for a permanent marker.  Why is that?  Because, it was meant to be permanent.  It
was not created to be erased, just like us.

We were not meant to be erased either but as soon as sin entered our lives we began to make mistake
after mistake.  So God had to invent an eraser and it is called the Blood of Jesus and God can use the
Blood to cover all of our sins, no matter how big or how small.  But once again, the choice is left up to us.

Isaiah said it best in Isaiah 1:18, “Though your sins be as scarlet,” meaning our sins sometimes feel as
though they stand out and are easily noticed by everyone around us.  They can even seem to be seen
from afar and no matter how hard we try to cover them up, we can see that they are still there.  But he
states, “...they shall be white as snow.”

We are required to take action by deciding that we want our sins removed, and once we have made that
decision then God guarantees us that He will make us white as snow.  Not that we won't have to live with
the consequences of our prior actions (cause just because something is erased doesn't mean that it was
never there), but we will be able to reap those consequences through grace and Satan will no longer be
able to hold them against us.  Amen!

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
Minister Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray
