Amos 3:3 NKJV Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? It's very interesting how the Bible correlates that when you walk together with someone that you are in some type of agreement with them. The Psalmist tells us that blessed or happy is the man who walks not in the counsels of the ungodly. Amos says "Can two walk together unless they are agreed?" And the author of Ecclesiastes tells us that two are better than one, but when facing the trials of life in order for one to help the other the two have to be in agreement, which goes back to walking together. There are two things that the Bible is very clear on. One, we are not to walk with the ungodly. And two, we are to walk with God. Let us be very clear on walking with God. We are walking with Him, meaning we are on His schedule, His time, and we are to do things His way. God's way is always the best way. When we are in agreement with God and His Word we can handle the issues of life. Here are several benefits to walking with God: 1. When you walk with God, there's a inner peace that cannot be explained. Phil 4:6 2. When you walk with God, trials don't effect you the same. They may still hurt, but your outlook is different which causes you to have a different perspective. A different perspective gives you different priorities, and once spending time with God is your number one priority you can't help but to see life from His point of view. 3. When you walk with God, He holds your hand. He leads you and guides you through some of the most difficult times in your life. Psalm 119:105/Isaiah 41:10 4. When you walk with God, He makes the impossible possible. Because He is the sustainer of the Universe, all things are possible when we believe. Mark 9:23/Phil 4:13 5. When you walk with God, you feel His awesome, joyful, reassuring presence, leading you and guiding you every step of the way. Psalm 23:3-4/Matt 28:20 6. When you walk with God, He shows you His ways. To know how the creator of the Universe thinks, and to know what moves Him, is an unexplained feeling, that a million words cannot explain. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.
