Childlike Faith, Pt. 1: Expectations
Mar. 18, 2009
Ps 62:5 NKJV My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.
Ps. 86:7 NKJV In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.

As soon as my daughter wakes each morning, the first thing she does is call for her mommy and daddy to come get her.
Sometimes, we don't come right away, but still she will continue to call for us because she expects us to come.  Even at her age,
she knows how to have faith and she puts her faith to the test every morning.  She will not stop calling us, until we answer.  She will
not give up on her expectation, until it is fulfilled.  She will not allow herself to consider that we may not come this time because she
is fully persuaded that her mommy and daddy will always take care of her every need. And every day, her faith is proven.  Every day,
    we come.

It is examples like this one, that teach us what it really means to have a childlike faith.  God wants us to expect Him every morning.
Not only should we expect Him but also believe that all of our needs are met.  When we helplessly reach for Him, His protective
arms are ready to scoop us up and cradle us from all that threatens to disturb our peace.  He may not come right away, but if we
need Him, we should never stop calling until He answers. And because of our expectation, He will come.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
Elder Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray
