| Childlike Faith, Pt. 4: Faith Without Limits Apr. 8, 2009 |

you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Faith is a small five letter word that has a huge meaning behind it. It means to expect and hope. It also means to believe in or to put confidence in. It requires a full commitment and does not permit room to doubt. Children have an amazing ability to have faith even in the most dire circumstances. If they're told "no" once, they keep asking because they have faith that the answer is going to change around the fourth or fifth time. It is also not hard for a child to believe that God will make a way out of no way. Children do not need evidence to convince them that God has their best interests in mind. They do not require hard facts to persuade them that God is the creator of the universe. Nor do they demand lab results to deny their sibling's claims that he/she is adopted. All they need is to be told by someone that they trust and they are completely satisfied. (Now they may ask questions, but that does not negate their faith, it only enhances it.) Likewise, we must learn to have this kind of faith. Faith that cannot be dissuaded because we are turned down the first time. Faith that does not sway, wobble or shake without evidence or hard facts. The "Because He said so" type of faith that can be accepted based on the merits of who it came from. The "Comfortable Pajamas" type of faith that allows us to be at peace because we know that God is looking out for us. Faith without limits is the kind of faith we need and that is the kind of faith that we can have, if we just believe. Once we obtain that, nothing shall be impossible for us. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Elder Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray |
