Childlike Faith, Pt. 5: Behind The Scenes
Apr. 15, 2009
Eph 2:12-13 NKJV 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers
from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far
off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Before our series Childlike Faith comes to a close, there is one more topic that we must explore: The importance of the One who
works behind the scenes.  As children, many of us wanted to be like a movie star, singer, or sports icon. However, we had no real
idea of what it took for our role models to become the people that we saw on television.  And in some cases, the people that we saw
and admired on television were not real people at all.  Yet we idolized them anyway because we were oblivious of the multiple
people who worked behind the scenes to create the facade that we esteemed.

Likewise, we have someone working behind the scenes in our lives.  His name is God.  He is rarely acknowledged for the things
that he does but he is the main reason that we are who we are and that we have what we have.  Sometimes, we see Him and
sometimes we don't but we can always see the evidence of His presence.  His work is undeniable and the credit belongs only to
Him.  For without Him, we are nothing.

We have reached the end of our five part series entitled Childlike Faith.  During which, we reminded ourselves of the importance of
expecting God to act on our behalves every morning.  We also learned to obey God without question because He said so, we vowed
to hold the Master's hand whenever making decisions and we discovered what it really means to have faith without limits.  God is
always working behind the scenes in our lives.  Even when things appear still, He is still moving.  So don't lose faith and don't give
it!  For it is what we don't see that makes the most difference.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
Elder Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray
