How To Get To The Heart Of God, Pt. 5

    Rom 8:13 NKJV 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,
    you will live.

    The fifth and final step in getting to the heart of God is that of  Sanctification.  Sanctification means for the believer to set him or
    herself apart for the work of God.  We are not to separate ourselves from our own family members who are not believers, however;
    we are to be separated by our viewpoints.  Our ideas, our way of life, and our conduct should be set apart from those who are
    nonbelievers.  In order for us to achieve success in sanctification, we must walk in the spirit.

    Paul makes it clear that when we live according to the spirit the deeds of the flesh will die.  This type of death takes place only when
    full submission is given to the Lord, without reserve.  Setting ourselves apart from the lifestyle of the world can even cause conflict
    within our own family.  But, when we make a decision to be totally sold out to God, he will deal with those who oppose us for doing
    his will.

    God wants every believer to know the path to his heart. Obedience, trust, sacrifice, commitment, and sanctification, backed with a
    Holy life, will touch the heart of God every
    time.

    I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
