| The Presence of the King, Pt. 2 May 27, 2009 |

held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. God has a way of bringing the wrong into the light. No one can sin against God and get away with it. But, a better observation to make is that no one can sin against a child of God, and get away with it. For when one of God's children are taken advantage of or mistreated, he is not slow to answer their call. The longer he decides to wait, the more he has in store, for the child and for the offender. Then Haman gave an order to destroy all of the Jewish people, Esther proclaim a fast for her and her people. But, more importantly, she did not panic or lose heart, for she knew that Haman was not fighting against her, but her God. Esther knew the risk she would be taking going before the king, but God honored her faith for not being afraid of people. The night before the banquet the king had a dream, and God used that dream to bring forth some hidden facts. This not only caused the king to lean more towards Esther, but caused Haman to be hung by the platform he had built for Mordecai. When we are faced with difficult situations we must remember, we have a King that we can go to as well. He is awesome in his rule. Excellent in his lordship, and magnificent in the way the way that he reigns. Esther trusted God to give her the favor that she needed, and believe that he would handle the situation. Shouldn't we do the same? I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Elder Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray |
