Time Flies
Jun. 10, 2009
Ps 90:12 NKJV So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Ever get so busy that your mornings crossed into nights and your Tuesdays into Wednesday while you weren't looking?  On the
other hand, do you sometimes feel as if a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day?  Time is so
unpredictable that it would be so wonderful if we could just purchase more time out of a vending machine and apply it instantly.

Well, what if that vending machine really did exist?  Each day we could stand before it and choose A1 (5 yrs) B1 (2 yrs) C1 (9 mos) or
from the lower shelves we could buy by the minute or hour.  That would be fun for a while, however what would we do if one day we
went to the vending machine and it was sold out.  Go to another one?  What if that was sold out too?  Then we would be faced with
the fact that all we have is the time that we have left.

But we don't actually know how much time that is, do we? Of course not, because we weren't keeping track of all the purchases that
we made.  Why would we?  After all, we never fathomed that the machine would one day be empty.  So the real question is, how do
we spend the moments that we are left with?  In other words, how can we be wise with the time that God has given us?  That is the
reality that we are faced with.  We should ask ourselves this question daily, because the truth is that time flies and no one is ever
    able to catch it.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
Elder Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray
