Victory Through Failure
Jul. 1, 2009
Matt. 5:16 NKJV 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

It is a common misconception that Satan will attack us when we are at our so called best.  Christians often expect the enemy to
attack when they are constantly before the Father, when they are constantly fasting, and when they are consistent in the word.  Satan
is much smarter than that.  He knows that he is no match for the believer that is focused.  Instead he waits until the believer is off
guard and hits them when they least expect it.  He attacks with Internet pornography when the believer is online doing research for a
homework  assignment.  He attacks with adultery when a person is just being friendly with someone other than their spouse.  He
attacks with lust when an individual is not even aware of its presence, and like many, Christians fall prey into his trap.

God knows that at times we will get caught off guard.  God's desire is that we confess, repent, and use what we've learned so that
he can teach us more about himself, and so we may not be ignorant to the tactics of the enemy.  God does not want us to walk away
from our failures empty handed.  He wants us to apply what we've learned so that we may help others, and so that we may live the
abundant life.  Failure does not mean there is no victory, the only failure is when you do not learn from  your sins.

    PRAYER OF THE WEEK
-Lord, show me that no matter the failure, that there is still victory in you.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
