John 12:12-13 NKJV 12 The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: "Hosanna! "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD! The King of Israel!" John 18:22 NKJV And when He had said these things, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, "Do You answer the high priest like that?" Who ever knew that the same men who laid palms at the feet of our Savior Jesus, would also put nails in them. How quickly we can change from one side to the other. It is apparent by our everyday walk with the Lord. One moment we are blessing Him for His marvelous greatness, but the next we are insulting His sovereignty. We tell others about His masterful plan of salvation, then we complain that He should have done something the way we wanted it done. Is He our Master or our Slave? As we approach Palm Sunday, keep in mind that He is still the same Sovereign King who humbled Himself and died on the cross so that we would have the right to complain about Him today. If we continue to focus on the things that we think He hasn't done, we will continue to be miserable. Instead, focus on what He did do. He woke us up, protected our families, provided us with shelter and education (if you are reading this), and most of all, He saved us from an eternity of hell. So don't be one to spit in our Savior's face and pound the nails deeper into His flesh. Choose to lay praises at His feet, instead. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray Additional Scripture References NKJV Mark 5:22 Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came there.
