Eph 6:11 NKJV Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. If you are a child of God, then you are involved in spiritual warfare. It does not matter if you want to be involved or not, if you belong to Christ, you are involved. We have a enemy, he is real, he hates Christ and all who follow him, and he is out to destroy every church on the face of this Earth. Lets get one thing straight, when we say the church, we are not talking about a building, but we are talking about the people. Satan wants to destroy every marriage, every Pastor, every choir, every praise team, and every youth ministry, to name just a few. Our enemy is serious, and he is not playing any games, because he knows his time is short. God did not leave us without any defense. Because God knows the type of enemy we are up against, he has provided for us the proper attire that we need in order to be effective in this war. Today we will focus on the Helmet of Salvation. The helmet is used for the covering of a person's head. In spiritual warfare, its used to protect a person's mind. If Satan can attack your mind, he can be successful in tearing down anything else. We as believers are to guard our mind. First we start by guarding our eyes. If we guard our eyes we can guard our mind. If we guard our mind, we can guard our heart, and if we guard our heart, we can control our actions. We are to focus on things that will bring glory to God. When Satan sends an arrow of lust or anger into our mind, as soon as it passes in, let it pass right out. And then ask God to help you meditate on things that will please him. We are in a war, if we do not suit up with the Armor of God, we are sure to lose, or become a casualty. Ask God to give you the wisdom you need to bring him glory in this spiritual war. PRAYER FOR THE WEEK Lord, help me to guard my mind, so that I may guard my life. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday!
